So today I went out for an important dinner and ate so much I felt like vomiting. I've only done this about one other time ever before and it made me feel so sick and bad. I came home straight after to weight myself and I was 54.5kgs and before I left I was 52.8kgs. I gained about 1.7kgs after dinner. This morning I weighed myself and I am 54.4kgs. I guess most of the weight is water retention. I look really bloated today and I still feel full as if I have just had a big meal. Should I eat today or not?

To be honest for the past week or so I've been eating about 300 calories a day of fruit and yes I know that is bad for the body and it can cause metabolic issues and starvation mode and other issues but I'm just scared that now that I eat normally my body will store everything I ate as fat.
119.9 lb Lost so far: 21.2 lb.    Still to go: 20.7 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 17.0 lb a week

I heard somewhere (I think it was Dr. Oz) that after a bad eating day it takes about 5 days for your weight to get back to where it was. That's if you immediately go back to how you normally eat. So when that happens to me, I just figure on 5 days and everything will be okay, sometimes I'll fast for one day just to speed things up. When I eat like I'm supposed to (with minimal processed foods) I have 2 to 3 servings of fruit and it doesn't hurt me. I think it depends on what health issues you may have. I am not diabetic so I don't worry about carbs from plant based foods.

The previous comment is correct, just know you will get back to it :) I would eat light meals for the days but it small meals of substance. Like lean meats and veggies.
