I feel so jealous and even angry when I see people who only have to lose 5 kilos and here I am having to lose 30kilos. I feel so jealous because they have managed to look after themselves in a way that I have failed. I feel angry when they complain or say how hard it is when I sit here with soooo much more to lose.

I want this to change. I want these emotions to disappear. I just don't know how.

I also struggled with those feelings, A LOT. When someone weighing the same as my goal weight start complaining that they need to loose more. Just ticked me off... I had to force a change in mindset and start to realize that everyone, no matter their weight, can feel uncomfortable in their own skin. Each journey is about being the best version of oneself and everyone is trying to make changes so that they can love themselves more. The realization did take time and did not happen overnight.

Start working with mini targets. It is less daunting than chasing a big number. i.e my big target is also about 30kgs. But by chasing mini targets I'm down already about 18kgs. Everytime I reach a mini target I change it to my next mini target (normalle in increments of about 3-5kgs). You can do this!!!

Imagine if you continue with your journey that in the future you could have 5kgs to loose to get to your goal weight.

don't stress yourself.. i started out with 56kg to get rid off.. remember 2kg on one person might be the same as 8kg on another- everyine is build different.

I feel your your pain .... i have 60 to go and then only will i be classified as obese. my attempts for Jan has failed but I have to be honest I didn't put that much effort in. To quote Miley Cyrus, its not about how fast your get there its , its about the climb.☺☺☺☺

I also struggled with those feelings and still do. Dont look at the 30gs you need to lose. Make yourself some mini goals. Like 5kg in the next 3 months. Dont be afraid to point out what is not working for you and try something new.

I completely understand what you are going through, I am having to lose 400g and also very disappointed in myself for letting myself go to this extent. I set weekly weight goals and ones that are easily attainable. so far I have lost 7kg and every time I reach my weekly goal, I am more motivated. Best of luck to you! I believe in you and know that you can do it!

Zuna it’s more difficult to loose 5kg than 30kg.. just keep trying💪💪

please never compare urself to others. i may want to lose 5kgs but what u dont know is that ive always been aroung 58- 60kg. i am now at 65kg because of muscle,so u see our goals r not the same. u have come a long way n never forget that. focus on you n keep doing ur best. stay strong.

Take a look at my weight profile. I only joined Fatsecret when I weighed 110kg. 4 years ago I was at 134kg. Do the math. It's possible. If I could, so can you. Go for it!!

Im 40KG overweight, and i fail so often. But that makes me human. Every time i fail i just say to myself tomorrow i will try even harder. Life tends to throw a person some curve balls as well. But nothing can beat determination. Its very easy to put on the weight. Sometimes its easy to lose the weight. The hardest is to keep it off. But we are all with you in this journey. As long as you believe in yourself, nothing or no one will stop you!

Each persons weight loss needs and reasons for losing weight is personal. It will only hurt you to compare yourself to others. Be kind to yourself and just keep going.

I feel you. There is only one way out of your misery and that is THROUGH! You can do it! I also need to lose at least 25kg more and there are days that I lose all hope one shot. Living healthier and getting fit is hard, but being overweight is just as hard. Choose your hard!

I've lost over 35kg so I know the disappointment of failing iniitially. Each person has different metabolisms, body fat percentage, etc. so comparing yourself to others is the 1st thing you are doing wrong. Never compare yourself to others because you only need to compete with yourself. The most important decision is what method of weight/fat loss you choose and can sustain. Some require 100% dedication and sacrifice whilst others can require a more flexible approach. Don't ever try to rush results.
