We gots some catchin' up to do, don't we???

Well, let's see, it's since Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon: Since these 4 days, I have dropped a total of net 1 pound. . In the interim, there's been a movie and dinner at a friend's place and big-ass monthly feast event at another friend's place. I did pretty good through it all. Even though these 4 days have seen NO exercise, the diet alone has maintained and eeked me a small loss.

Fri: at movie and dinner, I brought my own tofu there, and made a pan-fried tofu creation (curry pwd, garlic salt, and olive oil) and made a peanut sauce to go with that (peanut butter, water, and soy sauce). No alcohol. Was very filling and delicious. However, late night, I got some craving for food, as I was up late, so had some cheese.

Sat: Moveable Feast at my friend's place. LOTS of carbs in everything from apps to desserts. I had some gongonzola cheese for appetizer (took off the nuts and cranberry spread), and a few pieces of broccoli with dipping sauce, and 1-2 pieces of my mini crustless spinach quiche. For main course, I just scraped off a little of guinness cheese from a scottist rarebit, and tried to get the cheese from inside a blintz, but gave up as the carby dough was all mixed in. Each of the entrees was loaded with carbs, so I skipped them all. For dessert, I had some queso de luce (?): manchengo cheese several slices, and a few slices of quince (this is probably forbidden on atkins!)...and also another dessert of labne (yogurt), shredded apple, and honey (I know it's forbidden on atkins, but still a relatively healthy dessert, so it was a calculated risk). I didnt have any alcohol or any other kind of cheating. Did come home later and finished the remaining manchengo cheese later at night!

Sun morning saw a slight gain (0.6) pounds, which I lost by Monday and an additional 0.2 pds. Today I dropped another 0.4. So, yeah, weight is coming off very slowly now. Need to do :

1) add exercise more and daily!
2) NO late night eating
3) no more cheating this week...

next week, I can decide if I want to go on OWL or complex carbs and fruits!


Exercise tonight:
Bike: 10 mins, 2.5 miles, 50 calories,
Elliptical: 20 mins, 1.86 mmiles, 173 cal,
Bike: 15 mins, 3.36 mil, 76 cal
total: 45 mins, almost 8 miles, 300 calories

Meals:
Brunch:
spinach salad with ranch (1 c)
Mushroom pesto dish: garlic, olive oil, parmesan (1c), mushroom, pesto (3c), tofu (1c), cream (1 c)
coffee with half and half and splenda (3c)
atkins bar (3c)
soy milk (2c), chocolate (2c)
total: 15 carbs

Think you did well, considering no gym time! I'll be a vegetarian if you come cook for me...actually, we have been 1/2 vegetarians when we're really watching it. Good job on the work out, keep it up!!!
