First I wanted to "THANK YOU ALL" who help keep me in the loop by email. I LOVE the funnies you send too! I also must appologise for not keeping up. With helping to care for my grand, I seem to have so little energy left BUT I wouldn't trade this time in my life for the world!

This week, I'm getting over a real nasty stomach flu. Came down with it Saturday night but much better today. My grand shared it with me. She shared her cold with me also, not that long ago, lol.

Fever is gone and my blood sugar is back to normal. Tomorrow begins another busy week so I'm still resting up. My grandbaby, Lilly, is doing very well. Hard to believe she's 7 months old already. Through the business of all this I've managed to gain a few pounds back. I totter between 108-112 lbs now which may be a better weight for me anyways.

My main focus isn't the scale but my health; measured many ways. Primarily measured by my energy level and stamina (considering the fibromyalgia)as well as my blood sugar readings which are great. I've had to cut my metformin in half, so only 1 - 500mg pill a day, instead of 2 and my fasting numbers remain in the 80's so no complaints there. Gone are the high sugar spikes I've had before. When it come to diabetes, I think it all comes down to knowing how your own body operates. Mine does best on 30 minutes of exerise combined with plenty of good fats in my diet. Low fat just doesn't work for me, even with extra fiber which only increases the noted very painful gas which often come with the metformin. Even then, I still would get spikes from 160 to over 200 just from eating slightly off-plan.

So it's starting to warm up here, the bees are starting to buzz and the grass needs mowing. Soon it'll be time to BBQ!

Hoping all my friends here at FS are doing well!

Lots of love and butterfly hugs!
