TGIF! I am 138.8! Very happy. :) The only thing that isn't fun about losing weight on Weight Watchers is as you lose more weight they take away daily points! I used to be allowed 20 points per day. Now I'm only allowed 19.

The fish taco recipe I made last night is here. It works out to 7 points per serving. I added cut up tomato, black beans, and avocado so doing that made it about 8.5 points but I really liked it. And, it made sure I got 5 fruits and veggies in for the day. I tried a new veggie, jicama, which is part of the recipe. I enjoyed it! Always fun to try new stuff that is also HEALTHY.

Salem talked to the recruiter last night and unfortunately, he is not the front-runner for the job he wanted. There was another person who has more experience than him. However, they told him not to count himself out just yet because the other person might not agree on salary, etc. He's pretty bummed out. I wish there was something I could do to make him feel better. Our experiences at our current job are like night and day. I LOVE my job and my employer. They have always treated me well and I'm happy to come to work every day. His experience has been, well, the opposite.

Last night we went to the grocery store and saved $40 thanks to coupons and in-store sales. It's such a rush to save, I love it! We also got 120 pieces of matzo for FREE. We aren't Jewish so we are going to donate it to a shelter but still... I'm not passing up the chance to pick up some free food!

My best friend spent about half an hour today yelling at me to insure my ring. My parents kept telling me it was a waste of money. Then HER mom called me pleading to get it insured, that everyone has a "ring" story and there's no way it would be expensive like my parents said it would be. Sure enough, I called my insurance company and it's $4/ month. Needless to say, I bought the additional coverage. It's hard admitting as an adult that our parents aren't always right. Good thing I have "Mom2" and "Dad2" for a second opinion! Lol.

I really like the WW yogurts. They are yummy and only 1 point. Thanks MomofTwoGirls for telling me about them! :) I tried their pre-packaged 1 point chocolate chip cookies today... blech. Not a fan! I do like the WW bread and the ice creams though. Keeps my portion control in check! It wasn't that long ago I could eat a (full-fat) pint of Ben and Jerry's cherry garcia in the blink of an eye.

THREE THINGS I'M GRATEFUL FOR TODAY:
1) A nice easy 20 minute commute to work
2) Coupons and sales!
3) My incredibly soft bed that I never want to get out of in the morning

MY MENU FOR TODAY:
Breakfast: Kashi Go Lean cereal + fat free milk (4)
Snack: Coffee w/ cream (1); Polly-o string cheese; apple (3)
Lunch: Mandarin orange, WW yogurt, banana (3)
Snack: strawberries and blackberries (1.5); WW cookie (1); pudding (1)
Dinner: 1 cup Pad Thai (9)
Dessert: Sugar free popsicle (0)
POINTS: 23.5 (19 daily; 4.5 weekly)

Have a very happy FRIDAY friends!

Woo hoo! Yeah I hate that about WW points, too. Losing points sucks but it makes sense why that happens. I had to switch to calorie counting because I am at only 18 points a day and there's not much I could do with that and I would usually be weigh under calories. You seem to be managing nicely. Very good job!!!

It's always good to insure your rings. I think you made a wise choice. So sorry about the job but maybe the other person won't take it. Lets keep our fingers crossed. Have a great Saturday Chris. You are doing so good and your journals sound so happy and upbeat. I am so happy for you!

Nice balanced menu! Great progress you are making! I am not familiar with the WW point system but it sounds like a common sense approach. Keep up the great effort!
