The doctor has put me on tablets for blood pressure - I'll take them for a month and see how I go. She also gave me my own codeine so that I don't have to keep on taking either Tony's or Shirley's. That's Tramadol, codeine, paracetamol and an anti inflammatory every day. She wasn't happy with the codeine in case I get addicted.

I asked for a steroid injection for my hip and my neck. She's not happy - won't give them for my neck and in my hip only if I insist. I've been having them since I was 20 and she's worried about brittle bones. I exercise for my bursitis, so I'll try doubling up on them.

I also went to the butchers and got a couple of lamb's hearts for braising, some diced goat for curry (probably) and a rack of pork ribs. I'll be eating this weekend and the ribs will go down nicely.

Hope the BP medicine works well. Sorry about pushback from doc on what you know works. Lamb hearts, yum! Sadly around here I don't often get to them; they're a lovely source of taurine, so no stew for the humans.
