Day 2 of fasting - Yesterday was the 1st day I was attempting to do a fast but after really sitting and thinking about it I should've done some research first before blindly going into this with my coworker. I believe in order to successfully start a fast you have to mentally prepare yourself. I wasn't there and I just jumped head first without really doing my research. I did a little digging last night and came across an article that advised it's not a good idea to do a fast just to lose weight because the weight that you took off will come back plus some once you begin eating again because you have deprived yourself of foods. The article did recommend to just eat smaller healthier meals when trying to lose weight. So I will give up the fasting and just still do my green superfood for breakfast and dinner but leave lunch open to have a small meal. For example, yesterday I had my superfood for breakfast, a small garden salad for lunch, then before I went to my second job I had a protien shake and then for dinner I opted for a naked burrito from Qdoba with just beans, rice, shredded cheese, and veggies. I could only eat 1/4 of the bowl and had to save the rest because I was full. I can definitely see my efforts yesterday helping me to eat smaller meals because my lunch & dinner both filled me up on just those smaller portions. I will continue this diet instead because this will work best for me.
