I broke my right wrist on June 12th (at the gym) and was in a cast for 6 weeks. No gym, no water aerobics - sitting around feeling sorry for myself and SNACKING too much. I gained at least 12 pounds - no incentive to check the scales often - but I did check once and it said 222.7. WHOA. Being "down" to 218.1 is a step in the right direction.
I am still having Physical Therapy twice a week and yesterday they told me that I could resume using ALL machines at the gym without reinjuring the wrist. YEAH!!!! I had been going to the gym for two weeks, but only working on the recumbent bike, back machine and leg machines. Yesterday I added 7 exercises using my hands - lower weights and fewer repetitions, but it is a start back to where I was before.
It is time to take control of myself and keep going on the weight loss journey.
