Well Just got back from the track. I made it 5 times around and back to the car in 23 mins. I am so proud. that is 1 and 1/4 mile. Prolly not a good time for real athletes but for a all her life heavy girl this is a very big deal. I ran a little over 1 lap of it just as I did last time. This is the 2nd time I have done this and am hoping to be able to run a full mile by the time im done. But for now I will take what I can get. I love the walking/running, it seems like a much more productive work out for me then taebo. I sweat more, I am more tired , and more worked out then with taebo I believe. So we will see what the scale says in a few days. Hope everyone is having a smashing week.

Remember, it's not about how hard you sweat or how tired you are after working out. It's about getting your heart rate in the right "zone" for a certain length of time. The book says that it's better to do a longer workout with a lower heart rate, than a short workout with a higher heart rate. You're doing a great job!

I'm a heavy girl, too, so I can relate. Good job! Just keep plugging along, that one mile will happen before you know it.

Great job, you should be proud! Keep the intervals going, run/jog for about a minute, then walk briskly for 2 minutes and repeat. Good stuff. You are making such a wonderful positive change for both yourself and your family, you are awesome!
