I'm wondering if anyone has experienced problems with ADD and found that it's contributed to their weight gain? I've been doing a lot of research and found that my type of ADD (inattention) leads to lack of structure in dieting and exercise. For example, while I know I should eat several times a day, often times I will go hours without putting anything in my mouth because staying on schedule is an absolute nightmare for people with my type of ADD. A nightmare! We take notes in different notebooks, can have 100 sticky notes on our desk, piles of paperwork to file, etc. No wonder its hard to keep a structure on our eating habits since PREPARATION is what's key.

Also, there is an impulsivity to our actions. For example, I will fight with myself the entire way home from work because I know I absolutely shouldn't have fastfood but I get an impulse and need to tackle hunger NOW! Lack of self-control is debilitating, it really is. It is best to have meats unthawed and maybe eat leftovers versus planning to cook an entire meal when you get home.

Anyone else out there have experience with this?
