JLThreatful's Journal, 13 February 2012

I'm tired of making excuses. My weekend was full of beer - wine - bad food - and not keeping resolutions. I completely forgot about the wine tasting on Sunday for work. I did do better than the weekend before but I have a long way to go in will power. Tomorrow is Valentines and I was suppose to be 115. But instead I'm sitting at 120. How IRRITATING. I'm going to the gym now - to fix some of the damage I've caused... maybe I'll just stay for 12 hours that should do it. grrrrrrr.

Hey, don't be so hard on yourself. You are learning new behaviors and this takes time for the lessons to last a life time. Give yourself a break, what happened over the weekend is history, just rededicate yourself to your choices today.

Thanks Be... It's a bit frustrating... I have always worked in drinking establishments and never realized how muuuch I end up drinking and the food choices that I make afterwards - not to mention not wanting to go to the gym. I'm not sure the weightloss is half as challenging as keeping my lips off a beer! I wouldn't feel so bad about the food choices - I just feel like I let myself down. Thanks for the encouragement!!

I use to work in the beer and food industry as well! And yes its hard to stay away from the stuff but one thing I use to do...always workout! No matter what and that meant if I was hungover! Yes people use to think I was crazy! LOL That was a while ago...now fast forward to 2012 and two kids later. I do not drink like I use to but I still have a few beers because I sure love beers. But I still do not miss a day at the gym or a workout! This is the one thing I told myself I needed to do. And this doesn't matter how much I eat or drink...I have to go in! Make that promise to yourself. One thing that you know you can do! This way you know you'll succeed and then all other goals will fall into place!

Great advice - Just got back from the gym and feeling a little more awesome about myself - feels good to know that other people have conquered!
