ONE MONTH INTO DIET 9LBS DOWN

Ok one month into calorie counting diet and i have lost 9lbs so far.. I eat between 1000 and 1300 calories a day and have been walking and jogging, although the last week i have had a leg injury and haven't done any jogging (still lost a 1lb though?).
I have over a stone to go but am determined. The good thing about calorie counting diet is - if you know you have a social night coming up and will be having a few drinks you can watch what you eat during the day to balance your intake.
I have enjoyed my food so much more since cutting out the rubbish in my diet. Really all i have done is remove sugar and bread and potatoes. I still eat most other things but will have more veg and less meat on my plate now than i used to. I have also started weighing in my food because it is easy to creep your calories up judging by eye alone.
I have just bought a skipping rope too, which is really hard work!!! try doing that as fast as you can for two minutes - its exhausting.
My husband has commented on looking trimmer, which makes me feel good about the effort i have put in.. all in all would recommend this diet to anyone who still likes to go out and have a life at weekends, can put a bit of exercise into their day and can feel healthy and energetic on low calories.
