Went with my daughter this morning to the doctor. She's having a baby soon & had to get a checkup. I watched my 2 yr. old granddaughter while my daughter was back with the doctor. When we left my daughter stopped by a great place for milkshakes. She asked if I wanted one. I had to look away from the menu, so many great flavors to choose from. I said no thanks, so glad I beat that temptation. I need to lose a few more pounds, maybe I eat too much as is. Have a great day all.

After a while of eating clean, a milkshake just seems overwhelming.

Thank you all. Erika I agree with your comment. I don't go to a restaurant hardly ever. I much more prefer eating what my wife or me cooks. But I have to really take a firm hold on myself when it comes to ice cream or milkshakes. My addiction I suppose. I do occasionally make low carb ice cream, mousse, cheese cake. Not often. I try to stay around 1000 cals a day, and under 20 carbs.

Way to go on skipping the milkshake. It comes down to each choice we make. Every bite, every meal, every day, every month to get us where we want to be. A few great books that I recommend that really discuss this concept well are "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson or "The Compound Effect" by Darren Hardy (publisher of Success magazine). Keep up the good work!
