I've been pretty sick with what I think is tonsilitis, it's pretty minimal, not bad enough to warrant a trip to the doctor. However, I'm keeping an eye on it and have been medicating and gurgling salt water. The last time I was sick I used it as an excuse to give up my attempts at changing my diet, etc, but this time I'm using it as an excuse to keep going! I won't be sick forever and the gym does help me feel better.

So far, I've done pretty well on my biggest challenge. I have totally failed the 100 crunches per day challenge, but I'm not beating myself up about it. I'm just not there, yet! I will be, but my success on my other challenge is definitely out weighing any feelings of defeat. I'm down 5 pounds (My actual starting weight was 265, but I put 264 when I signed up because that was what I knew it to be previously. After purchasing a new scale i found out I'd gained a pound) over all and eating better than I ever have.

I've not had any sweets in over a week. Something I can NOT believe I've achieved (I did have a little chocolate milk last night, but I don't like plain milk and really wanted a glass). I have PCOS and have often read that PCOS patients are addicted to sugar, due to their metabolism issues. This is SO true in my case. I think I may have kicked it.

I'm learning a huge amount of self control which I, also, never thought possible. I'm surprised with myself and thoroughly proud.

All in all, things are going very well. Now if my tonsils will stop feeling like I have raw hamburger meat in my throat things will be going much better!
