psydoc's Journal, 13 November 2007

I went to the gym and worked out on the stationary bike for 15 min. I know i am supposed to work out for 30 but with Lupus, RA, and Fibromyalgia the last time I went for 25 minutes I flared for a week! So I am going to have to slow it down and, as my Rheumatologist reminds me, this diet was designed for healthy people. I am not healthy so my weight loss will probably be slower. I hope I can do less but go in more often - but that may take a while to build up!

My addition for this week is meditating and visualizing my new body (you can tell I am a shrink!). I have to remember that I have to LOVE my body the way it is before the weight will come off (at least for me).

Since I am in phase 2 but can't exercise a lot I am only adding in meat at dinner - and just a small amount.

Cheers!

Hang in there, you are doing great and you are doing what needs to be done. Just because it isn't the exact amount that the book says doesn't mean it isn't right for you! You know what your limits are and you know how to handle it! As long as you are doing something, that is what matters! Sounds like you are doing great, just keep it up and you will get there!
