Adora's Journal, 08 June 2007

Went overboard on dinner last night. It's okay - I will think positive and just start anew today. In fact, I'm back to square 1 with meals - eating very, very simple meals. But my workout was great yesterday - I swam more than 1 mile within a hour so I'm happy about that.

Thursday, June 7 (EFS Day 6 of cycle 2)

8:45 (Breakfast):
1/2 cup of wheat cream with bananas & OJ
11:30 (Snack): 2 plums
1:00 (Snack): 1 Egg boiled egg
3:30-4:30: Swam more than 1 mile
5:00 (M#2) - Leftover chicken with leftover mango salsa
7:00 (M#3): Lots! I had a group over for a meeting from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. Everyone bought delicious foods, so I had salad, salmon quiche, spinach & artichoke dip with WW crackers, & 1 small piece of BBQ pork (i didn't eat it all), and few pieces of butterfinger cookies. I felt more than full, which I haven't felt for a while. It was not a good feeling. Just a nasty feeling. Today, I'm going to detox a bit!

However, I'm proud that I didn't go for white bread last night. I just had like one small piece to eat it with spinach dip. I mostly had whole wheat crackers with the dips.

That's my problem - each time I see great foods - I just dig in. I need to learn how to resist my temptations each time I'm around fatty foods. That's why I don't have any unhealthy foods in my kitchen!

If you figure out how to not eat everything that is on the table, let me know. That's my big problem at parties too. I decide that I'd like to try a bit of everything and before you know it, I'm stuffed. I think you did a great job! I follow the same principle, back into detox and lighter meals after a day of eating too much. Great job! Enjoy the weekend!

Mcarthey is so right....you can't just not eat something that you want...you just need to do what you are doing and go back into detox and then get back on track....depriving yourself of all foods is impossible and will never happen as long as you live, so just remember to do it in moderation and you will be just fine! Back on track today and go from here!
