Adpully's Journal, 06 March 2017

I have just plotted my carb reductions since I started dieting and looks like I now have circa 50g carbs per day sorted.

The beginning of the month looks bad but i had not even heard of a low carb diet then. Before my diet I reckon every day was above 4000 cals and more than 400g of carbs!!

On Saturday I am looking forward to a day out with a bunch of my hi-fi mates in Northants - I have to bake the bread
I will try to not eat too much but it could well end up a naughty day for me. What I will do is try is to save myself a few cals and carbs over the next five days. That might be easy to say but difficult to do?

I'm not the expert but I don't think saving carbs works the same way as saving calories as if you're in ketosis then excess carbs will knock you out of it and you'll start building up a glycogen store again. I hope someone with more experience will come along soon to correct me if I'm wrong. I get my info from dietdoctor.com but there are other sites. All the same, that's a pretty impressive reduction you managed there - did you have any ill effects such as headaches at the start?

The only thing I can think was there were a few times when I was bent over looking at something low down then when I got up I felt a bit wobbly -Thats stopped now. Not sure if it's connected but I haven't been sleeping very well - Often waking up at 2AM and again struggling to sleep often waking up multiple times oh lots of weird vidid dreams.

Your experience sounds a bit like my first few days of fasting.
