ok, between Fri and Sat I pretty much killed my Induction--with only 5 days to go before finishing!!!! But dammit, I did have the best of intentions and did try sooo hard, but going out is really hard on the diet!!

Fri: Lunch was a subway salad with veggie patty and pretty filling. Dinner was early, before the movie, so once again, spinach salad, but this time, also had a cup of hot veggie soup---and had to take out most of the veggies (Carrots, onions, potatoes, but left in the peas) due to striving to keep within induction rules. After the movie, we hung out in a bar through the late night and that's when my resistance caved. Everything in the bar was carby--hummus and pita, cheese plate with jams and crackers and fruit, fries, two varieties of bean soup etc. The only thing I could eat was a salad and I was really bored of that after two of those in the day!! I consider the options: order pizza and eat only the cheese on top and not the crust (too tempting so abandoned that idea), cheese plate and leave out the nuts, fruits, jams etc (that would mean about 75% of the plate would be left uneaten after paying a high price for it!), or order the bean soup. I opted for the later--tuscan bean soup and thought, well, it's atleast healthy carbs so worth it, better than the other stuff. I started to have it and then arrived my friend's gangantuan pile of POMME FRITES with an amazing hollandaise sauce--and that's when my resistance caved...i had one for taste, and then kept having more---until I must have had atleast 20-25 of those thin suckers!!! So there went the diet...the next morning saw a gain of 2 pounds, and sadness...(Oh, and I also didn't go to gym today---so my challenge with Lisa majorly failed today!!)

Saturday: decided to be perfect from today on and when i go out, to have salads and diet coke, water, or coffee only. Lunch was subway salad and patty. Evening out, we went to 4 bars/clubs, and I did manage to avoid drinks at all the places. I was pretty hungry come dinner time, so i did end up ordering the small cheese plate ---and had two varieties of cheese--but the bad thing was , I also had several crackers, honey, and some fig jam. No workout today either. But we did do some dancing, so I guess that helped. Sunday morning has seen a two-pound gain...I'm hoping that's from the soda and cheese and will go away if I get in more exercise today and all this week. I need to dredge up my motivation again---seems to have crumbled a little and confusion about how to proceed on my diet realistically is setting in....

I guess I should continue atkins..induction once again, and then OWL, until the end of Febuary until I get down to 125 pounds, and then decide to change it up from there in the maintenance phase in March and April...

Wow! You've been making up for lost time since you've been back. Your chart looks great. Don't let a little 2 pound blip get you down (I know, eaiser said than done). You are doing so well!!!!

I know I wouldn't be able to stay in control if I went out a lot! Your chart looks great, though, and I'm sure you'll drop the little gain soon.
