Day 8 of diet/exercise regimen.

5.8 pounds lost since December 12th! Huzzah!

I somehow hurt my ankle the other day- I don't remember banging it on something or twisting it, but it was so stiff for the majority of yesterday afternoon. I let it rest, and this morning, I did my usual work out. I was proud of myself for going still, because I know that if I skip just ONE work out, I'm usually done for the count. I'll lose my motivation, and lose my momentum. It's my usual kiss of death for a diet/exercise regimen when I convince myself that having Del Taco JUST THIS ONCE! or skipping this workout JUST THIS ONCE! will not have a huge effect, because it does.

I haven't had any huge food/soda cravings, save for one: Fast food, i.e. Del Taco. Oh goodness, my coworker had some for lunch the other day and ate it in the office, and I could smell it from the room over. I wanted to cry. But I was a good girl, I stuck to my diet.

If I can get through another week, hopefully cravings like that will cease. Two more weeks without faltering and I should be permanently set in a new routine. Thank goodness.

My hubby has been good. He doesn't eat fast food around me. He's even stopped with the soda. I wish he would accompany me on the work outs for support, but I guess I can take what I can get.

A good thing: Saw an old friend for the first time since he got back from a 6 month long trip to Africa, and he decided on Buffalo Wild Wings. I had planned the calories for my usual two Buffalitos, and a side salad. I could only get through one Buffalito without feeling sick. This is a good thing! I'm training my body to hate the bad stuff, and like the good stuff. I felt awful when I got home. Nauseous, and full in a bad way. My digestive system sure did pay for it. I'm happy I now know that (while delicious), the garbage is just not worth it.
