im back up that pound I lost so hanging on at 203 still and the MiraLax has not kicked in. AND I ate kinda late last night so that didn't help. Im gonna try and hold off as long as I can too eat today then stop at 7 and try and get more liquids in.. not sure what else to do get my weight loss moving again and other things.. lol.. Been steady at the gym so gonna hit it again and I have abs planned.. maybe that will get things "moving" in the right direction? Any advice is appreciated as I have never had to deal with this and the dr's advice wasn't that great.. xoxo feeling "blah" today :(

Sorry that is bothering you...do you drink coffee? That sometimes gets things moving - and as I mentioned earlier, I take magnesium tablets at night - 3 or 4.

Miralax, chia seeds, and magnesium tablets are my go to in order to go (see what I did there??). Sometimes I still have trouble and when all else fails I may resort to a Dulcolax tablet. Don't want to use them very often tho because they can make you dependent on them if over used.

Rhon, I gave in and took the ducolax.. couldn't stand it anymore and felt so gross. I didn't want to eat or drink anything bc i was so bloated and it was just uncomfortable to be carrying that extra weight in my stomach.. I feel 1000x better today and plan to rehab my diet with more leafy greens and proteins and I off to find a good pro biotic today and crossing my fingers thats what I needed to jump start my "engine". HCB, I have a cup of coffee in the morning and one at 3pm-ish. I was adding my fiber to my coffee and nada.. Im gonna take you advise and get the magnesium. I have no clue what caused this bc I was a regular 'once a day' in the morning type person.. Even every other day would be ok at this point.

are you using healthy fats? like avocados, coconut oil, olive oil and grass-fed butter? I found that when I couldn't go, I didn't have enough fats for a few days. Also I would use Milk of Magnesium instead of the ducolax. It is a less dependent alternative. I also agree that taking magnesium, up to 1000 mgs at night, helps the going too.

I find that a day of liquid diet seems to help. That means for me I grab the blender and go to town. When that fails, I go for a little mineral oil on or in things to help lubricate the tubes. My fiance has more problems with constipation than I do, and for him excessive amounts of coffee on his day off helps, along with drinking more water during the week. When things get bad, his go to is Milk of Magnesium. He's had times when MoM doesn't work due to stress, stuff starts moving again when the stress is alleviated.

Yeah, sometimes you need to take something like Ducolax to get things moving... Miralax works in the long term so you don't get backed-up and become more regular.

Constipation is the worst. I echo Ravyne as I found that lots of veggies stir-fried in coconut oil helped me. I am chronic and if I waver from a paleo/mediterranean diet for too long I am in for it. Hang in there! I also use the mineral oil route when it is really bad. Good luck!
