Sherillynn's Journal, 02 January 2017

While on our walk yesterday, the dogs decided to veer off course and follow a deer trail. They were out of sight and very focused on the mission. Thankfully, they were only gone about 10 minutes but I sure was irritated/ worried. Hirschl is 8 months old and has never done that before. His buddy is 2 and apparently does this occasion. Nothing like the older dog teaching the puppy bad habits!

When they came back to us at full speed they were so excited that I couldn't stay mad for long. Lesson learned however. No off leash walking with his best pal Spud!

I think the extra walk and the extra water, (as well as limiting my salt and staying on track eating) got me over this stall.

Tonight's challenge: We are having family over for dinner. I figure if I control the menu, I control my eating. I am providing dessert. If I make a dessert I don't like, I won't eat it! lol. Do I do that or provide delicious dessert and just not have any? Decisions. Decisions!

Did all of you get your exercise in yesterday?

Well, I can't see not having a dessert for them. Make something they love and you don't or make one that is light and yummy.

my go to dessert has been whipped cream with berries. that works with my lchf diet and no one ever complains. I put maple syrup out in a pitcher for those who want sweetener.

I would go with a dessert they like but not necessarily you, then you won't be tempted.
