warrenwinter's Journal, 13 December 2016

Well, a happy Tuesday to the community! I have two days of doctor appointments, and finishing putting Christmas lights on the house. Looking like workouts will wait to next week. May take in a breakfast, somewhere. Still kind of overcast weather. Oscar the tortoise is out running about after a two week hibernation in the tool shed. Everyone, have a great day and diet!

Happy Holidays!

Looks like the trip to Hawaii paid dividends, Warren. Nice drop!

Funny, I got up on the roof and got in trouble with my ladder. A guy actually pulled up, and yelled out, "Are you OK???" I yelled back, "NO!" He got out of his car, and helped my off the roof. My take away??? Getting old is a "Big Ass B!" I'm having a heart to heart with the wife tonight. Sorry, you don't like the lights!

Thanks Kes! I think tomorrow I could be close to 250 again. My back has been hurting pretty bad. I am going to get my hand massager out. Ice, Ice, Ice!

It was a learning experience today. I was at the post office, and a poor lady was almost falling down getting out of her car. I asked her if she need help, she said, "Yes, my shoe has fallen off, and my walker is in the back seat. I got her walker out and put her shoe on, and gave her a roll of free stamps. I was thinking, how tough it is to depend on others, then the roof incident happens to me. Funny, the lessons of life.

By the way, stamps are going up two cents to almost 50 cents in January, so forever stamps are a good buy right now.

Warren, hope you are fine, and that incident with that elderly lady was a wake up call for ya, huh? Sometimes caring for my dad and mother -in-law is so depressing, mortality staring you in the face everyday. Be fit, be strong, do the best you can...take care buddy!

And maybe it's time to confine the holiday lights to a few ground level bushes!

What goes around, comes around...as we used to say. I learned a really good lesson today about skeleto-muscular structure, and the importance of glutes. The lower back muscles were designed to work with the glutes. But most tend to ignore the gluteus maximus , and the the back has to take up the slack. Clench your cheeks, and the back gets better.

Lulani, you make a great point. I give two minutes of my time for someone, but constant care gets at best depressing. That's really tough. No doubt, it never gets any easier as we age. Thank god for you helping your family. Erika, I love your sense of humor and honesty. I still have my lighting problem. I will take your suggestion. Kes, You make a great point. Because of my surgery, I have not been able to workout and stay in better shape. I look forward to getting back to the gym, soon.

Interesting, that everything is covered under my plan so far except for erection medicine. They take out my prostate, and the doctor believes Cialis is extremely important to my rehabilitation. Obviously, my insurance draws the line, that my erection is NOT that important. Well, I will tell you what. It is VERY important to me. LOL Cialis has to pay for ALL those commercials, and is making a KILLING. Guess what, an erection, will NOW cost me $10.

I trimmed the edge of the porch with blue lights this afternoon. Should have had them up the day after Thanksgiving. My wife has been having hell at work, isn't it against the law for an outgoing director to actively campaign against one of the applicants? We might be knee deep in litigation over the whole situation after the new year

Yikes, that doesn't sound good. Best of luck with that, Phil.

Yeah, it sucks. The outgoing director has been lying, defaming her character, bullying, trying to intimidate, discrediting her Masters degree, creating a hostile work environment and a whole host of other nastiness. On the bright side, we've got the name of attorney that's taken the facility she works for behind the wood shed numerous times in the past.

I will tell you what. Not that I'm a bad guy or anything, but having a best friend, that is a successful attorney, has saved my butt numerous times. Which includes getting me out of my first marriage. I'm NOT bragging!

Work is always SO much fun!

Work hurts, work wounds, work bleeds, and work scars. Sorry about your Cialis situation, I hope the insurance person has a similar problem at some point in the future, no one's problems are important until the same thing happens personally!

Phil, with all these Oil guys, including Putin, in the Trump administration, will they find a way to get gas prices back over $4.00 a gallon? You gotta know they will try, very hard!
