Doing okay. The "StrideCycle" was definitely $200 well spent. I've used it every day EXCEPT the day I put it together because putting it together was such a workout on it's own! Lol. Only seeing small drops though. I need to buckle down on the food part more. Pizza and cake and Fuddrucker's this weekend. Bad. And none of it was really all that good. Except for the cake, I made that myself (from scratch!) and it was awesome. It had a buttercream hot cocoa flavored frosting. Yes, I got creative. Lol. I also made an EXCELLENT chicken noodle soup chock full of veggies and chicken. Used cajun seasoning. Mmm, tasty.

Basically, I KNOW I need to start counting calories again if I really want to lose the weight, but I just don't want to. I sound childish, "I don't wanna!" Stupid calories... *pout*

I start school tomorrow. Tuesdays I will be in class til 7p, Thursdays til 10p, Fridays 6-9p, and Saturday mornings 9-12p. Ugh. That, on top of working 8a-5p Mon-Thur and Sun 9a-6p... Trying to save money... plan a wedding & honeymoon... buy a car... Play my saxophone more... So much for having days off. This is going to be a busy, hectic year. I hope I can manage my weight on top of it all. I gotta figure out something for dinner on Tue & Thur. I don't think I can wait til after 7, and definitely not til after 10, to eat dinner. Eeek. Meal bars? Maybe I'll just bring 2 "lunches" to work and eat before I leave? Hmm. Definitely need to avoid drive throughs on the way to classes.

Hope everyone else is doing good.

Think of it this way, exercise is great for health, but nearly useless for calorie burn. Someone would have to run a marathon just to burn off the calories in a pizza. Exercise is just too inefficient to be relied on. It does boost metabolism and improve looks, but diet is the key to losing. Counting calories sucks, I know, but it does help. If you really don't want to count (I don't blame you), then you could try cutting sugar. I'm a sugarholic, but when I cut it I usually lose fairly quickly (like I did this week).

I normally don't even eat junk food like crazy. I've just been out of control since like, Thanksgiving(and by out of control I mean like a 2lb gain). All this stress isn't making me want to eat healthy either. Now I won't have much time to cook... Le sigh... I'm slowly getting back in the habit. And my fiance doesn't do Valentine's day, so I should be holiday free for quite a while, that's a good thing...

The best thing to do is to pack your own food. I used to work three jobs and go to school full time. I'd go to class from 8 until 12, work from 12 to 5, go to class from 6-9, 5 days a week, and nights I didn't have class I'd go to another job. It's easy to get lazy and not want to exercise, because you're so tired. If you're counting your calories, at least half of the battle is won. And bringing food with you is always a good idea. You won't be forced between the lesser of two evils when looking at all the snacks in the vending machine. Even stock up on Lean Cuisines or Smart Ones and keep a few extra in the fridge. If you get to school early usually there's a student lounge that you can use a microwave in. Or even at work in the kitchen. Good luck with all of your activities, I'm sure you'll get through just fine!
