I am so easily discouraged! I've started retaining water again, so my weight is creeping up. I know that I've been eating well, and not nearly enough to account for any gain, so it has to be the retention thing. HOWEVER... I look at that stinking scale and immediately go into anger mode (maybe also PMS?!?). My first thought is always "If I'm gonna gain anyway, why don't I eat some _______?" Last month my cheapness saved me, so let's hope that whatever starts to look good costs a LOT!

I was pretty good on Mom's Day, BTW. We went to my favorite brunch buffet, and other than a bit of full fat cheese sauce that I refuse to feel guilty about, I had only one thing that was not "allowed". They have a signature dessert that I cannot resist, and I felt I deserved it after 7 weeks of being pretty darn good. The best thing is that the next morning, my scale wasn't even angry with me! I must have gotten an exemption for the holiday ;)

Sound like you had a good Mother's day. Don't worry about the scale at this time. Just think how fast it'll drop when the retaining is over. Keep that in mind. what was that signature dessert? Never mind! I shouldn't think about it! Heehee
