Well, it's turning into a family affair. Ate McDonald's yesterday AND pizza. Daughter was talking to me in the car, asking how she can lose weight and still eat sugar. I went through things, and explained portion control and calorie counting, that work temporarily. I also talked about glycogen stores and belly fat. We were out shopping, and I had more energy than she did. She wanted a quick lunch and pulled into McDonald's. Later, hubby wanted to order pizza, to prime his gut for the GMOs we need to eat on the cruise. This morning, we both weighed in. He gained 1.2 lb, and I gained 1.8 lb. He said, "I ate huge steaks two nights in a row and lost weight. It matters what you eat." Uh huh. Am bone brothing it all day, today.

It's a battlefield out there at the mall.

I wasn't battling, though. I just decided to eat it. The burger was dry, tough, and only the raw onion tasted good. The ice water was stellar.

Yep, fast food is easy, but you pay a price. I'm beginning to realize the benefits of my 99 Cent Store. The veggies are good. I eat some of them raw, like sweet peas. An example of the benefit is, I like Vitamin 0 Calorie Flavored Water, and it is $1.79 a bottle, on sale at Rite Aid. At the 99 Cent Store it is 2 bottles for a 99 Cents. I took every one they had. I fill my basket there every time I go in. They don't have everything, but what they do have is at least half price, it seems.

I wish any of the dollar stores here carried more food. Some have a little canned and frozen stuff, but not any fresh things! The closed one that carries any fresh food is over 30 miles away, and any savings would be wiped out by the cost of the gas used to get there!! LOL
