LadyinDenim's Journal, 14 July 2016

Dr. Fung weighed in on the following question today: "If I do 23/1 IFs 5 times a week and only consume 600-1000 calories in that one hour eating window daily, would this likely cause my metabolism to slow down?"

His answer: "Fasting changes the timing of the meals but does not specify caloric intake. Eat to satiety when eating and fast when fasting. If your body only wants 1000 calories, then it's enough to maintain metabolism."

Diet Calendar Entry for 14 July 2016:

This is very helpful, and I love Dr Fung, BTW. I am doing planing on 16:8 most days, but like today had to cut it short because of life...I have a difficult time on regular days getting to 1800, and on days I fast, I see that it is more difficult for me to do and keep my macros where they need to be. Thanks LID!
