I am not having much luck being successful with the Atkins in the last 3 months or so. We (hubby) and I keep sidetracking each other. So, he is going to have to do what he wants and eat atkins right along with me at home. I must be successful this time, and I don't want to give up.

Still walking with my work buddy, 3 to 4 days per week. So that part is going well.

I am going to make some changes, such as recording my meals and weight routinely. No whimping out this time.

Diet Calendar Entry for 20 October 2011:
804 kcal Fat: 39.82g | Prot: 20.91g | Carb: 94.96g.   Breakfast: cinnamon muffin, red grapes, Chicken and Beef Sausage (Smoked). more...

It can be very hard to implement ANY change in your WOE when your significant other is not supportive. Notice I said "not supportive" and not "on your WOE as well." He doesn't HAVE to be on Atkins, although it would make cooking and shopping easier for you/him. But, if he's at least supportive of you changing your WOE, you have the ability to be successful (even if he's not supportive, you can be successful, but that's a WHOLE different issue). Anyway, he can eat exactly what you do....perhaps larger portions, if he wants. He can also supplement his meals with off-plan items, if he prefers not to follow Atkins. The key is making your OWN commitment to making a change and following through, every day, every meal, every food. Keep up the walking, as that will help you PLUS it will get easier and easier as you drop the pounds! You CAN do this....the only question is, "Are you truly committed to making this work?" Good luck.
