It seems unfair to me: I have made steady progress with my unofficial AM weigh-ins--since about last Wed., I've gone down about 0.2 lbs. per day, which is great for me--and today, for no very good reason, I am up a pound. I've said it at least 1000 times--not only to others, but also to myself: one day, one weigh-in is absolutely meaningless in the grand scheme of things--the rest-of-my-life lifestyle I am adopting--and slow and steady wins the race. Still, when the bad weigh-in happens, it makes me crazy.

Spent some time with a real-life friend, trying to get her set up here, as FS has really provided most of the tools I need to do this properly. I hope you are reading this, and I am thinking of you! To her, and to anyone else who may chance to see this, have a great week.

i know how you feel elizabeth! One time i went up 2 lbs for some mysterious reason. but it went back down the next day or two plus i lost a pound. I think it is most likely water weight or something. if you are doing what you are supposed to do then i wouldnt worry too much about it.

Your body is not a robot machine. It works in mysterious ways. I find that when I am up a lb or so - that usually I can trace it back to not enough water to flush out the toxins and left over fat debris from my body using the up the stored fat. So it retains some fluids to keep the toxins and debris in suspension so that it does not interfere with it's function and doesn't re-toxify my systems. If I increase the water by as little as 16 oz I find the next day I have lost that weight gain plus a nice couple of pounds more. Remember - your body is not a mechanical device. It will function as it knows best with what you put in. Give it what it needs and it will perform very well.
