It's another Friday and I look forward to Monday to see the results in the LOSS COLUMN after a pretty sketchy week when it comes to eating right and being consistent with my working out.

I am a sucker for a girl and a bottle of wine and sometime during the week, an old friend or a new friend will stop by and one bottle becomes two and....

It really ruins my next day and a half because I feel like crap as a result of the alcohol and because I had a hard time saying no, I lose focus of the plan for almost two days. So I seriously have to work on that.

My training has intensified however; which is a good thing. I've moved up my dumbbell weights another 5 pounds and reduced my reps to try and stimulate my muscles and ignite my metabolism more. Sort of like a HIIT workout but with weights included. I have replaced my normal 3 days of some cardio with 3 days of HIIT cardio. I only have so much time in the day and need to really push and rev my metabolism now that I am totally healed.

ANY SUGGESTION ARE WELCOME. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!

How about seeing if your friends could - rather than do wine - maybe join up for tea, or coffee, or a walk? That way you still spend time together and have a laugh/chat, but without the calorie bomb of a couple of bottles or so. :)

You know real_gone_girl most of them would be good with that. So would I. I live across from the beach so we do take walks and a spot of tea would be lovely. But it's those drop over to see if I am home ones that usually bring the bottle and frankly, do it to be nice so I would feel very ungrateful if I turned them down. But the don't just stop by friends that call first are pretty cool about that. Thanks for the good opinion.

Sounds like weight increases on the dumbbells are going around. Are you trying any thing different in your diet?

I don't think your drop in friends would be insulted if you didn't imbibe with them - they can drink the wine and you can have whatever else you want. Visiting with you is what they are really interested in, otherwise they'd just stay home and have a glass.

skwhite. I have started more fish and virtually cut out the red meat. Though I am not very good about keeping track of what I consume, I know that I normally don't get past 1,500 calories and most of them are mostly protein and raw or steamed veggie; with very little bread, pasta or other similar carbs. I use egg beaters for breakfast and lunch often now.
