Day 3 on Atkins (Thursday):

Woke up to feeling rather good; weight had dropped down even further..139.4, and I felt thinner and great! It seems like a critical boundary around 138/139 where a single pound can make me feel normal healthy weight versus slipping into the category of unhealthy, uncomfortable weight.
Diet: salad with ranch; still very hungry so had a smaller side salad with ranch, cheese, coffee with cream, and for dinner a 2 egg/2 veggie link omelette. Did pretty good overall carbs-wise. Had a late night driving trip to contend with, so tried to drink water but snacked on mixed nuts (3 servings in the small bag), so should probably count this in the next day's carbs.

Gym: only 30 mins of walk/run on treadmill (sweated moderately)

Day 4 on Atkins (Friday):

Started with those late night nuts from above (6c), 1 atkins shake (1c)
lunch: dunkin donut egg (1c) and cheese (1c) with coffee and cream
early dinner: subway salad with ranch (2) and cheese (2)
later dinner: small salad at home with 1 egg (1) and cheese (1).
Had a lemon cocktail instead of alcoholic drinks...with lemon juice, sparkling water, salt, splenda, and accidently put in about 1 tsp of REAL sugar!! (Don't know if that screws up my induction?). Also found my way to some peanuts! (3-5 c)

I think I still managed to stay under 20 c despite the nuts (i I ignore the sugar, though, which would be about 5c extra)


Was starting to feel bloated and fatter despite being on low-carbs...my friend explains this to be the detox phase and apparently bloating is normal...so plugging away on plan. Rather proud of myself that I'm staying at some friends' place in NYC and unlike usual times when we'd eat and drink and enjoy decadent meals, this time it's all low-carb, non-alcoholic times!

Exercise: NONE!

Day 5 on Atkins (Saturday):

Woke up feeling already bloated.

Brunch: 2 egg omelette (2c), butter, goat cheese (2-3c), 1 slce swiss (1c)
peanuts: 8 + servings (!! snacking all day..should be over 25 carbs right there!)
Dinner: Tofu Satay: Tofu (6c), marinade (? ), peanut butter sauce with coconut milk(6 c?)

Total: basic meals : 20 c; peanuts : additional 25 carbs!

Exercise: NONE!

Game plan for tomorrow:
1) NO PEANUTS
2) Only 2 meals..skip one.
3) LOTS of water
4) 1 hour of hard activity (walk uphill/ jog in intervals)

I have been feeling very fat and bloated by the end of the day today..definitely not like being on Atkins at the moment!! Well, I guess it could have been way worse if I'd had rice, pasta, or desserts with the meal as I typically do.

Congrats on staying in better control while visiting friends! That seems to be one of your triggers. Now, if you could only limit that nut intake! Aren't you nutty enough? :)
