Yesterday, I was successful in not eating too much sodium. I had 2150 mg. I was trying to keep it under 2300 mg. It was hard and my food was blah, but "they" say that if you keep it up, you won't need the salt as much. I'm giving it two weeks...and then we'll see. But I'm not going to be fascist about it. I mean, if I go eat sushi I'm gonna indulge in soy sauce.

The good news is that when I woke up this morning, my fingers weren't puffy and the scale was back to where it should be. Of course, I had to pee so much yesterday. I barely made it through my hot yoga class - I thought my bladder was going to explode. Try that while doing floor bow.

Now that I'm aware of how many mg's of sodium is in salt and soy sauce and seasoned salt and ketchup, I'm going to estimate that I was probably eating about 10,000 - 20,000 mg a day. I'm not exaggerating. Now that I've cut back to 10% of what I normally ate - no wonder I think my food is so blah.

I finally replaced my cancelled pilates class with my own exercises - started this morning. I ran (5 mph) on the treadmill for 20 mins and then I did 25 mins of ab exercises and free weights. It was good. I was really proud of myself for running on the treadmill for 20 mins without stopping, because I hate running so much I had convinced myself I couldn't do it. I didn't even have to breathe out of my mouth. I guess I'll work up to a 5K and then run one or two. Maybe I can start liking running?
