question-anyone else have hormonal changes with weight loss? Or am I 35 and it just is me getting older?

I think that I had some hormonal changes...I'm 50+ and just went through the change, but as I lose weight it seems like my hot flashes are increasing. I really didn't have them as bad before. I have heard that our fat is a storage spot for estrogen? Not sure if it is true, but as we burn the fat, I think the estrogen enters the stream again.
