Man, I had a bad bad day yesterday. I think I was actually depressed. I am not a depressed soul, so I am not sure what that was all about, but many things went wrong. I was about to give up on my diet simply because I didn't work out yesterday. I went out to eat at a restaraunt that I couldn't find anything truly healthy to eat. I think that since I knew the day before that we were to eat at Cheddar's and knew I might have to eat just a salad this contributed to my depression. I found something that would work. Cheddar's refuses to share the nutritional value with customers, so it makes it hard to eat there. I studied the menu and I asked the waitress. Like the last time I ate there, they suggest the vegatable plate, which is salad (with a hot honey buttered croissant) and 5 sides. Side choices are steamed broccoli, baby carrots (cooked in brown sugar and butter), green beans (cooked in butter), rice and beans (with sausage), broccoli rice and cheese casserole (enough said-not healthy). So I pointed this out to her, in a nice way and she stood corrected. Then she was very very careful to make my dining experience good. She brought my salad and croissant but pout the butter on the side in case I didn't want it. I gave the croissant to my husband. I asked for no dressing, but forgot to cut the crutons, so I did that myself. I ordered the Grilled Chicken with pineapple pico de gallo and gilled shrimp. I had the broccoli and green beans (only after I started eating them did I realize it had butter, so next time I will get double broccoli). It was a fabulous meal. I was still depressed when I got home, but then biggest loser came on and after hearing that Ashley (I think that's her name) had lost her entire family in an accident, I started feeling like my life was actually good and why was I feeling so sorry for myself? Because I can't get out and run like I want to lol. I feel better today and am back on track.
