Cricket's Journal, 18 January 2016

My last weigh in was over six months ago -- I just think about if I had kept on track then, I'd several pounds lighter today (probably). Not having much luck losing the holiday pounds so broke down and joined WW today. I think that I need something to keep me more accountable, and though I hate tracking my food intake, it does make me more mindful of what I'm eating. I realized how much I snack in the late afternoon, early evening as we're preparing dinner -- a glass of wine, some cheese or chips and guacamole, and no keeping track whatsoever of anything. It's a short term solution to unwind but then I feel like *&^% in the morning when I step on the scale. So, it's time to give it a go again. Truth is that I tend to lose when I'm holding myself accountable and then after a few pounds, I fall off keeping track thinking I've got this on my own. Hoping to stick to it this time and reach my goal weight.

I don't know that I'll ever be able to do this on my own. Just thankful for this site and all the journal entries. I'm learning a lot.
