(Fanning myself after fainting...) Well, that's taking the carb ladder by the rails! You eventually have to get to some semblance of foods you'd eat for your lifetime, so go for it! I know you'll be keeping a close eye on what happens so you can adjust if necessary. Happy Fall/September!

Yes! The thing about this WOE is figuring out how to do it for the rest of your days. For me black beans, or any other color besides green, will NEVER be on my menu plan...I am glad somebody likes them, LOL!

I LOVE black beans, and I agree with the others so far, it is something we have to live with for the long term. You enjoy them, I like chopped onions and hot sauce on top of mine.

Sandy - that is what this experiment is about - And I'm going to try very small amounts. Black beans are full of B vitamins, etc. 1/4 cup black beans is only about 8 net carbs.

Auntie - You are making me so hungry!

You got it Buffy. Just adding them in small portions I think is the key.

Karen - you are right - portion control is something I've had to learn the hard way.

I agree it's a good time for change. Although I have a similar view of beans to GG, I really wished I liked them more. They provide a lot of nutrition for your buck. Adding these foods slowly in appropriate portions is a really good idea! Eat and enjoy!

Pamela - I understand - everybody has their own likes and dislikes. Venison is a nice lean, preservative free meat (and free at my house) but I can't force myself to eat it.

I like mine roasted - I get this lovely roasted bean and pea mix, it's nice to have as a snack when everyone else is eating crisps/doritos - listen to your body Buffy it always knows best :)

Tracy - Just caught your reply on roasted black beans. Bet that would be a great salad topper.

Nonna - glad to hear someone else doesn't like venison.
