To be honest I have not quite stayed of the booze. BUT I haven't had a lot. LB opened a bottle of Chablis over the weekend.....and I couldn't resist. One bottle over 2 days between two people isn't that bad ?!

Went out for another run on Sunday with my buddies. Couldn't get my breathing right and kept on walking during the first two miles. The next two miles were much easier. No stopping at all. We had to go on the road again as the woods are just too wet :( I really don't like plodding on asphalt!!!! Next Sunday I will check Bentley Wood out. I think the pathes in there are much better and not so water logged. Possibly on my own as my buddies want to go running in the afternoon but I like to get it out of the way and go in the morning. And before I take my spanial running again she needs a bit more training and I need a handfree lead with a proper harness for her.

I have found some of my homemade vegan truffles in the freezer last night and as long as I limit myself to 1 or 2 it should see me throught to the end of the month.

Thursday I have a doctors appointment. The monthlies are getting worse. A month at a time is getting rediculous! I wonder what my options are? I am not keen on taking hormons, as I have no other symptons. Well apart from the odd mood swing. Have my fibroids removed? I am seeing a different doctor again. Maybe this one has got an answer ;)

Best of luck at the Doctors. I hope you have a sympathetic one as some just dismiss "women of a certain age". I was lucky when I was suffering similar symptoms to your description. A Merena coil worked a treat for me (after 3-4 months that is) but not everyone is the same. Worth a bit of research if you haven't already looked.

I am 48 and currently off work for two days because I have terrible monthlies......a doctor once told me that she was not surprised as I never had children and to deal with it.......I am on the first 14 hours of a water fast and I must say that I am only suffering with light cramps and no back ache.......This year I am not going to the Big Pharma Salemen (dr's iny surgeries) but instead I am determined to heal all ailments naturally with Doctors online who understand fasting and how our body works......

If you haven't had children, the coil may not be an option anyway. I tried for that, but they couldn't put it in without a general anaesthetic! I took a low-dose contraceptive pill, that helped a lot.

I have a daughter but at the age of 27(and a miscarriage) I asked to be sterilised as I didn't want to take contraceptives for the rest of my 'life'. And since I started eating mostly vegan and definiately unprocessed food I have had no aches or pains or cramps :) NOO6767: as much as I can see why some people might fast....it is not for me.

I have the contraceptive implant, have no monthlies, apart from odd day, no back ache, no head ache, and not riped any bodies head off for ages. I was lucky to get 1 week free. Good luck with docs, sure you'll get something sorted.
