AmberLaine's Journal, 31 October 2015

Today was my 4th weigh-in! I lost 3 pounds this week, and 15.2 pounds overall since starting SCD 4 weeks ago! I had hoped for a bit more, because this diet is supposed to have you lose 20 pounds in 4 weeks. I'm really not that bothered, though. A loss of 15.2 pounds is better than not losing anything, or worse - gaining weight, as I surely would have had I not started.

"Stop wishing, start doing!"

Also, since it's been 4 weeks, I redid my measurements today:
RA - 16.75 (-1)
LA - 17.25 (-0.25)
W - 49.75 (-1.75)
H - 55 (-4.5)
RL - 31.25 (-1.75)
LL - 32 (-1.25)
Total (in inches): -10.5!!

Diet Calendar Entry for 31 October 2015:
295 kcal Fat: 10.56g | Prot: 21.95g | Carb: 27.82g.   Breakfast: Egg, Cooked Dry or Black, Brown or Bayo Beans (Fat Not Added in Cooking). more...

You should be pleased and proud of your accomplishment; we are! Remember, this race is not to the swift. I've been on my journey for seven plus years and I'm only seven pounds from my goal of 100 pounds. Trust me, if I can do it, you can definitely make it happen! One day at a time...

Thank you everyone! SCD is the Slow Carb Diet, which I read about in the book The 4 Hour Body. It's actually a really good read. There are also blogs and things all over the internet that have the details, as well. And yep, tpharding, I know it's a slow process. And like I said, I am thrilled with any progress, but I think we all wish it would happen overnight, lol. When I was a teenager I went to the gym every day after school for a couple of months. I never saw a change. So I quit. I'm grateful to have found something that is working that doesn't involve drugs (I had previous success on Alli). I am staying on course. Every time the "still to go" number gets smaller, it feels more and more manageable, and I'm looking to lose 100+.
