mars2kids's Journal, 21 August 2015

I had a slight loss today, which is surprising to me because I haven't done that great this week with my eating and my evenings have been filled with homework. We'll see how I do over the weekend, Monday's weigh-in could be a different story.

Last night I made myself go for a 30 min. walk after I finished my test and some other homework, and the kids were done with their homework and just vegging. I wanted to sit on the couch and do nothing, but I pushed myself out the door. I'm so glad I did because I slept the best I have all week and woke up this morning refreshed and ready for my workout. This weekend I'm going to try to get a workout in both days. I've been slacking on the weekends with exercise and eating, so I need to make point to pay attention.

I'm going to get my lunches for next week planned this weekend and hopefully find some good dinner ideas that I can prep ahead. I haven't found a whole lot yet, but I'm sure with the powers of Pinterest I'll find something. My daughter has already requested hot ham and cheese sandwiches and I've been putting them off, so that would be easy to get ready and my hubby can throw them in the oven, just not so good for me. I can make a good salad or something with them though. I have squash and zucchini galore right now too, so I'm thinking there will be some sides for the week, at least for me. :)

I hope everyone has a great Friday and a great weekend!!

WTG on the loss! -- I find the Idiot Box can (pleasantly) surprise us as much as it sometimes disappoints -- stagnant when we expect a drop and lower when our expectations our tempered. Good luck with your 'goals' this weekend and remember to enjoy the journey/process!

Awesome planning and good that you saw a loss. You have been doing so much better this summer than you were last winter. Good for you!

Thanks! I always do better in the summer than the winter. I do pretty well until about December, then by about February any losses I've had are gained back and I've thrown healthy eating and exercise out the window. Here's hoping that this winter I'll make better choices! :)
