RDI Tip - I wanted to recalculate my RDI on FS due to losing over 11kg now and I found that it's giving me RDI of 2600 Calories if my activity level is SEDENTARY, RDI of 3000 Calories if my activity level is LOW ACTIVE and an even higher RDI if choose activity level as ACTIVE or VERY ACTIVE. To my knowledge(open for correction), I am keeping my maximum daily calorie intake to 15% to 25% less of my RDI(+/-2200 Calories) and I am losing weight/fat. If I change my activity level now because of my minimum 2 gym sessions per week then my RDI will increase and that means my maximum calorie intake limit will increase as well. The problem with this is that if I was already lean and trim then I would need to keep to that RDI BUT my goal is weight/fat loss because I have excess stored calories(body fat) so increasing my RDI will give me an excuse to consume more food daily and this might possibly slow down my weight/fat loss!!! My decision is that I am going to leave my activity level as SEDENTARY no matter what my actual activity level is so that my body gets a big enough calorie deficit to use up my stored fat for it's daily calorie needs. I suggest that anyone aiming for fat loss should do the same so that they force themselves to stay at a calorie deficit that will result in weight/fat loss :) It will be a psychological effect on you as you will automatically aim to stay under your RDI :)

That sounds like a plan especially as FatSecret tend to be quite generous with their RDI as it is :) I also don't think exercise should be an excuse to eat more. It is said that exercise is 20% weight loss and food intake is the either 80%. Exercise is fantastic but not the be all.

100% agree with you LCFF!!! Food intake is the key factor to it all. Pointless killing yourself with exercise but the food intake is geared to putting on weight/fat. It's like having a bucket full of water that you want to lower the water level to half so you make a small hole at the bottom of it to let the water drain out BUT you got the bucket placed under a tap that's fully opened and still filling up that bucket! Now if we controlled that tap and closed it to the point that equal water going in and out then the bucket remains full but if we close it just a little more where we have less going in and more going out then the water level will go down to where we want it :)

Initially you got rid of a bunch of a kg's and that was with zero exercise. Point proven ;-)

A toned body of course will always be lovely to look at (and appear smaller). The big muscle groups also burn many calories for hours after the act. Muscles are beautiful :-)

I agree, that's how I've been losing weight. I'm a IT Tech, I don't enjoy running, jumping, sweating... Plus I don't have time. I walk when I go mall shopping and that's about it. I've lost all the weight and I am still losing. Agreed, the weight will come off faster if you do. slow and steady wins the race. Nobody can afford tobreplace their entire wardrobe in a season 😜

Fat secret is too generous, everybody is complaining about it. 1800/2000 cals for you at this weight sounds good for you.
