Every once in awhile, you have to turn the page. Whether reading a book or magazine, or just living day to day... you just can't stay in the same place for too long, or you get bored with yourself.
30 days with no progress... time for a DETECTIVE STYLE EVALUATION!
What are your GOALS!
Do you have any? Are they written down, and constantly in front of you? 'Cause they really should be!
Everyone has to start somewhere. And although all of our beginning numbers are different, and all of our ending goal numbers are different... the process becomes very similiar for each of us!
If you need help - SCREAM LOUDLY if you have to... but by all means ask for help! Picture yourself this fall doing something you like. And again in the winter enjoying something special. Think of next spring and how far along you will be - and by this time next year... focus on your GOALS! Focus!!!
Set yourself up for success. Don't shoot for 3 lbs a week if you are currently averaging 1 or less. An honest effort should produce on average 3-8 lbs a month on Atkins. (very individual, very dependent on the amount of weight you have to lose). But still... DOABLE!
But weight is NOT the only consideration!
The quality of your food intake. Are you active? Could you find ways to be more active. Do you stretch? Do you do at home weights or a DVD or walk or swim? Or all of the above!!! Make your days special. Treat yourself w/ love and kindness and surrender to this 'painful' mentality that this is all something you HAVE to do... make it something you WANT to do!
So set an activity goal. Something small 5-6 days a week. Then change it up. Do more. Jump a little. Laugh alot. Try harder. Go for it!
Goals, Watch your food diary's, activity, exercise, ... it all makes us feel better. And if done w/ some precision, look better! :)
Ok ya'll ... (been in the South too long!LOL!) Honor your commitments to yourselves. Look over what you are willing to do to get where you want to be! And let's get 'er done!!!
