Two days sunshine - can't be bad. Its just a shame that its cloudy today, but at least its not raining. I went shopping yesterday and when I got into town, discovered I'd left my purse at home. A 50 mile round trip for nothing, so I've been again today. I tried to go and have some lunch while I was out but having parked and got through the door my courage deserted me and I could feel the tears pricking the back of my eyes and I fled back to the car. I don't understand why its such a problem as its something I've done by myself loads of times before. Oh well, such is the journey.

Eating was really scrappy yesterday because of not getting the shopping. Today should be better now I've got a full fridge.

I've made a start on the veggie garden. Its been 3 months since I've done anything up there and the weeds are waist high with toadstools growing on the bark paths. I'd have some peas for dinner if I could get to them to pick them. If the weather is OK over the weekend, that's where I'll be with my straw hat and gardening gloves and it will be fresh peas for Sunday lunch.

Hope everyone stays on track and well balanced.

I'm envious of your sunshine!!! Be a little easier on yourself Flax!! While you have lunched by yourself many times before ... you had someone at home waiting for you. While things appear "the same" they are not. It is so normal for tears to prickle forth for no apparent reason as we adjust to life without someone we loved so dearly, even if they drove us CRAZY at times! I hope your weather turns lovely ... I'm doing my best to remain on track and balanced and always smile when I see you have posted!!

ugh about the purse-must have been frustrating! {{{{{huygs}}}} about the lunch out plans that fell through. Grieving and loss are so strange on our emotions. It is never something we expect to bother us that does and never in the time we would expect either. You will weather this storm and move through it with grace-maybe not this very day but in time. Glad you are getting out in the garden. It can be so cathartic to muck about in the dirt and weeds. Garden peas are the best! mmmm mmmm mmmmm
