Hey Keto buddies, can you go too high with the fat in your macros? I don't know how but I seem to be sitting around 75-80% somewhat consistently. I feel good and am powering workouts pretty well.
I have been trying to hit 10% carb(or less) 20% protein and 70% fat. Sound right?

They say as long as you keep the protein under 30% the rest should be OK. I end up at the end of a month averaging 10% carbs, 68-69% fats and the balance in protein. Sounds like you are doing well - I had no loss this past week so need to look at my fiber and sodium again.

I have been trying to stay in the same ranges as you. I was losing when I also kept my calories down to 1000-1200 but this past week I thought that I needed more food as I am working much harder physically and stressed to the max. So I have been nearer 1450 and that is just too much (no losses). Like you, I feel great...and actually am better satiated with the higher fat. I read an article about Fat Fast and they say that a fat fast entails 80-90% fat while keeping calories at 1000-1200 kcal a day. However, this should be followed for only 3-5 days. Wish I could answer your question about how high....think HCB has a better grip on all of this than I.

I am extremely active and my calories have been at 1300ish for my monthly average and I am losing slow but steady. I probably could scale it back a little but I am doing fine. The little counter says 7 months to my goal. Frankly I am OK with that and this is working. It's just so counter-intuitive to eat that much fat. I get a fair amount of veggies too, I have finally figured out the low carb ones. I feel like the weight training and longer yoga workouts are helping too. I never would have thought virtually no cardio and I would continue to lose. Bodyfat is shrinking steadily too though.

Great and I am happy to hear that it is all working well. Hugs!

I think that sounds quite good though everyone has their tweaks; I'm not strictly ketogenic tthese days, but I've set mine to 67-22-11ish. I used this calculator (sourced originally via the /r/keto subreddit on Reddit): http://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/

I seem to recall reading that if you go above 30% for protein you will still have an insulin reaction. Fat is insulin neutral.

Hmm I will do some reading. Thanks all for chiming in. I think I am in the sweet spot, at least for the moment. If I can stay consistent I should be ok, at least until I hit the wall when I get closer to goal. The same wall NM is climbing lol. I can't wait to be that close.
