Update and PHOTOS!!
Diet's going well. I'm managing to avoid big and little temptations, including three days of going out this weekend, to various bars and an Italian festival (Feast of Assumption), and being SURROUNDED by pastas, desserts, alcohol, I still managed to show supreme resistance and not cave. It gets hard when someone you're hanging out with gets drinks at every bar and I have to justify again and again how my diet coke will have to do..I guess I don't need to justify, but it just gets a little awkward to be such boring company! Oh well. I learned my lesson by a littlest bit of indulgence in having a caprese salad which made my gain half a pound the next day, so I reminded myself the next night when I was really tempted to have a glass of wine at a Santana concert (even the bartender was trying to talk me into the health and heart benefits of red wine!), and yet I reminded myself that I won't be such a happy trooper the next morning when I'll see those inevitable 1-2 pounds gained on the scale!! Thus, I managed to avoid temptation and stay clear. I even let forego the diet sodas as I found myself to feel bloated the previous day on them, and only had couple of bottles of water instead. Expensive to pay 5 bucks for water when you can get a beer or wine in the same price, but atleast it's an investment in my health!!
My workout routine is going well. I went to the gym on Wed and Thurs and did a full routine of weights and cardio, each day over 2 hours..Fri and Sat I skipped, but I went again to my bldg gym and did various strength training stuff for an hour to the point I was feeling tired. No cardio, but this coming week, I'll do a full routine each day, plus take a class on yoga or spinning etc.
