Dark, dreary, rainy, stormy....no walking today. Lots and lots of rain though, so we may make up our yearly deficit all in these 3 days!

Unfortunately, the doggies are house-bound and definitely feeling their lack of a walk. So, they got groomed instead! Generally, they really like it because it's one-on-one time and I guess it feels like a massage to them. For me, it's almost a race to get my Collie guy groomed before he decides he's had enough - LOL! But truly, he's actually very, very good for his grooming.

Our plans to grill out tonight have been canceled, as it looks like there'll be no let-up in the rain. I HAVE grilled out in the rain before, even in a rain parka with a huge golf-style unbrella, but it's no fun. Had to grab some meat out of the freezer to do up into tacos of some sort for tonight.

Due to the storms last night, my Nervous Nellie was up on the bed panting and trembling, shaking the bed and making it impossible for anyone to sleep. So DH took a nap this afternoon and I took a mini one. Just no energy when it's so dark and dreary like this. But at least the dogs got groomed which is a good project for a day like today. Of course they'll get a little wet when they go outside, but hopefully we can take them out when it's just sprinkling and not pouring! (Note at 11:30PM...no such luck...doggies getting drenched, esp. the nicely (previously) groomed Collie who just can't seem to pee in this rain. Been raining non-stop for hours and hours! As of 10PM, we had nearly 6" of rain since midnight and it's still pouring!)

I've been reading a thread over on the Atkins site about leptin. Might have to do some research on that. I also want to see what the big deal is on bio-identical hormones. I would have done some research online today, but DH was hogging the computer - LOL! This might have been a good day to go to a bookstore.
