"Today's UV Index should be a 9. The UGH Index will be a 10."

Walked the usual 3.3 miles today; DH took the doggies on a shortened stroll earlier. Very warm and humid, so I am more tired than usual after getting back. The dip in the pool helped some, but I'm still tired. May have to add some salt to the day's menu. That often helps with the tiredness on extra-hot days.

This has been a very good week on this WOE; unexpectedly so. I didn't start out with the intent to cut out sugar alcohols, but after a day or so without them by chance, I decided to keep it up. Perhaps, at this stage, I'm more sensitive to them, I don't know. Anyway, the SAs are back with the pancake syrup I had for breakfast today.

I've also started eating a bit lighter in the evening, again, not by design, but it has just turned out that way. If I needed some extra protein later in the day, I just had peanuts! Tonight will be different, in that we're grilling, so I may have a heavier dinner than I've been doing AND one of the meats will be brats. So between eating later, having more meat, and processed, at that, AND having SAs this AM, it will be interesting to see what the scale says tomorrow.

In the meantime, I've changed my motivational number on the bulletin board from "19" to "18."

Sandy we are having the same type of weather....UGHHHHH!!! My exercise yesterday was all of the cleaning, mowing, weed eating, pool cleaning type...too hot to walk for me. The doggies are lying under the mister in front of their fan. Poor things! Hope you have an awesome weekend and enjoy your BBQ! Happy 4th!

Hot here too - but I've been in the air conditioning - only walking in the heat from store to store. Will check back tomorrow to see how your experiment worked.

You poor thing with the heat! It is cold and frosty and still below zero C here I think LOL. Want some frost???? Enjoy your dinner tonight! Remember any scale increase will only be water anyway....

Stef & Buffy...glad to know the heat is spread around! We just got a few hours respite when some light storms moved through - got me out of mowing the lawn! Yay! Enjoy the 4th.

Squiggs, go ahead and send just a wee bit of frost this way, OK? But I'm not buying any tremors, so don't send them this way. Hope you're having a good weekend.

I think it's a good pound for you~you have been working so hard for so long! If I can get through the holiday weekend without gaining I will be happy. Get back to the routine after that~Here in NH it's humid, cloudy, and in the 80's.

Lisa, that pound has stayed "almost" gone. I'm weighing less than 1 pound more, so I think I can banish it for good. But the SAs and food not-prepared-at-home did affect the scale on Sunday AM. It's nice to not be frantically stressed when this happens. Little by little, I'm getting used to how my body reacts. Of course, it's ALWAYS subject to change - LOL!

Stef, thanks so much for the sentiments. I'll be sure to pass them on! Have a good week.
