Kate GB's Journal, 28 June 2011

So I was checking those fancy scales at the store yesterday and I'm confused.. My main concern was body fat option, I tried 3-4 different scales and they all showed me different numbers! One told me I was 31% fat, which I doubt.. Another one told me 13%, which I doubt again, another one gave me 19% reading which is more likely my number. So my question is how to pick the rite scale!? I did set up my stats on each scale (gender, height, age)... How do u guys pick scales? What brand is more accurate?

You could look at reviews for each scale online. But from my understanding, scales don't accurately gauge your body fat. You should use it as a guideline. The 19% one sounds more accurate.

Hm, the only true way to get a body fat reading is through an underwater test. The scales should be off plus of minues 3% naturally. You should only use it as an idea of your body fat, never a certain. 19% is probably the most acurate, again plus or minus 3%.
