Hang in there. The scale WILL respond! In the meantime, are your clothes fitting looser? I know that seeing that scale number not going down can be a real bummer, but if you're losing inches, your body is just readjusting itself - be patient. Also, an hour to an hour and a half on an exercise machine is a LOT of exercise. So, keep a close watch on your protein numbers, as you're below the lower end of the recommended range on a handful of days. You don't want the weight you lose to come at the expense of your muscles! Keep drinking your water. You're doing very well and that darn scale is going to reward you soon!

My dad and I are both doing Atkins and we seem to lose weight only every other week, so don't get discouraged...next week you might lose 3 or 4 pounds seemingly overnight, or at least that's how it seems to work for me....one week no weight loss, the next week "rapid" weight loss. Just hang in there!

dobsy, thanks, I needed to hear that. I am proud of myself for not quitting and staying focused.

I'm here to cheer you on too! Congrats on your weight loss and here's a big hug and the hope that everything will start moving for you soon! I just took a peek at your diet journal. I began Atkins 2/10/11, and had a problem of slow weight loss when I was eating 'Endulge Atkins Bars' and drinking diet soda. When I stopped those things, the scale began to move again. I had to change my salad dressing too. I didn't realize that it had sugar in it. Just a thought. (Some who love the Atkins bars cut them into 4 pieces, and have a piece a day.). I read that you are trying to get your calories up. I do that with meat protein. Maybe adding a little more meat may do the trick! Just food for thought! Cheryl from CA

Cheryl, I have cut out the soda and Atkins products. (I did have soda yesterday to combat headache) I am working on my percentages to see if tweaking them will help. I will check my dressing too, I hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the ideas.

Just hang in there. Your menus look great. You are getting the net carbs in for the Induction veggies so that is excellent. How much water are you drinking? And are you sesnsitive to sodium? Everything else looks like it is right on. I am sure you are in ketosis so it should just be a matter of time. One other question--> when did you start exercising? Was it when you started dieting or before? Sometimes, if you are new to exercising and your muscles are sore, they will hold onto that water for a while. I'm just really trying to think why you might be a bit slow here. Don't lose heart! We'll all try to help you figure this out. Blessings, the other Sherill from Iowa!
