Hello everyone! I recently have come back and this time for good. I need to be able to track my progress instead of whining about WHY I am gaining. Back in November I started my weight loss journey and managed to lose 40lbs! I am so proud of myself but recently I have stalled and I also stopped exercising as much. I realized I was putting too much pressure on my body exercising daily, morning and night for a total of 2 hour and sometimes 3. I got burned out since I work full time and go to school full time as well. I would sometimes get home at midnight after an hour of the gym after school and then wake up at 5am to exercise once again and start all over. My bones ached soooo much every single day but I had a fire in me that gave me strength and I would not quit. Now, I stopped exercising and I am thinking of going back to doing the same again but I don't want to over do it. I am now at 186lbs and the lowest I have reached was 178lbs but I gained 8lbs back. I am back with a newfound strength and soon, I will start doing Zumba at home to compensate for my lack of exercise. I am also going to get the program "Insanity" which will also kick my butt. I am ready guys! I am sooooo ready :)

2-3 hours of exercise with school and work. Good God, that is too much. Sleep is as important to weight loss as exercise. At 195 I was exercising 3 times a week, just 30 minutes. After I let my body get used to exercising after years of not doing squat I upped it to 5 times a week for 30 minutes each session. Then when I adjusted to that (about a month later) I starting exercising 30 minutes in the morning and 30 at night. (swim & cardio) Most fitness articles say that more than an hour a day is too much, and you must give you body proper time to rest as well to avoid muscle fatige, loss of appetite, and injury.

Yes, I know that now. I think I just needed a change and to realize that I could do anything if I put my mind to it. Now that I know that was extreme, I will think rationally and exercise the right way. I guess, I can say that was a great kick start for me but a paiful one too. Either way, I lost and I am ready to lose more :)

I can understand how you can throw yourself into exercise. I am recovering from a stroke and as soon as I could walk again, I jumped on the treadmill and pushed myself hard. I have slowed it down as I was so achy and tired all of the time. Give your body time to adjust.

I've never been an 'exerciser' so every day I must tell myself, yes we are doing this again, my biggest worry is once I get to my goal, continuing exercises.

Once I get started exercising I don't mind doing it. But you aren't going to find me spending hours a day at it. That just isn't me.
