Today was probably the BEST diet day I've had in a long time. It's so amazing having the ability to go grocery shopping, cook my own food, etc.

Usually I rely on Subway and store bought pre-packaged fruit to feed me, and I was never really satisfied, which eventually led to me binge eating. But today, I went grocery shopping on Sunday, so all my fruits and veggies and stuff were here. Technically for my weight, I should eat about 40 or so WW points. However, I figure I should eat the amount of points for the weight I want to BE. It just seemed to make a bit more sense to me, I dunno. So, I'm only going to allow myself 20-25. Today I ate until satisfied, incorperating more fruits and veggies and only hit about 15. I still have room for another full meal if I wanted! But, I'm completely stuffed after working out and having dinner.

I'm doing more research and learning more about dieting and nutrition. I always believed that in order to lose weight, I had to have little to no energy, nearly starve myself, and eat nothing but disgusting veggies. Now I'm understanding that I CAN eat, and eat throughout the day, and be satisfied. And fruits and veggies actually taste GOOD. Now that my system has had time to break it's severe addictions to processed foods, candy, and FAST food, I'm beginning to understand nutrition in a whole new way. I can actually feel the jolt of energy I get from the sugars in my canteloupe snack. I can feel the heaviness of the chicken with my salad. I can appreciate the taste of things because I'm not just shoveling unhealthy food in my mouth. I never thought I would know what it feels like to actually feel ENERGIZED after a meal, and not like I wanted to just roll over and go to sleep.

I'm feeling so hopeful and optimistic. I prayed today and asked God to hold my hand through this. I just feel like I can do anything right now. I'm so grateful I found fatsecret too. I'm a competitive person, so being on here every day and keeping up with my challenges is so key to my motivation.
