Only about 6500 steps yesterday as I was working in a small space.
Calories are low forgot to eat dinner.

Woke up stiff, I think from the odd positions painting yesterday. Will get the second coat on this am, do a few inside chores, start bread, cook some grains and beans for the week. Those will take only a few minutes attention here and there. Should be warmer this afternoon so a good day to tackle the garage mess. I can at least make a dent in the mess.

I need to start making the gym a super priority again. At least three days a week, no excuses allowed. I also need to start walking again in the am before work, I have been lax on this lately and I do know it makes my entire day better. Why am I not doing it? I'm sabotaging myself. The other priority is to get at least one small chore done at home everyday.

Middle girl's birthday today, she's 36.

I need to adopt that mentality. I tend to be on the treadmill thinking 'I'd rather be painting, cleaning this, digging that than this silly walk to nowhere'. But I can imagine there is a give & take of it cycling the energy.

I plumb run out of time everyday. Have to get this time/energy thing under control and my crazy constant projects---- somehow.

I really don't understand the psychology of it either. When I'm not living the healthy lifestyle I DREAD exercise - and most healthy food. But when I'm living this healthy lifestyle I ENJOY (dare I even say I LOOK FORWARD to) riding my exercise bike and eating healthy foods. I FEEL better and believe it is keeping me healthier...so WHY do I ever go back to my old lifestyle? It really doesn't make sense to me...but I know myself enough to know it is a true struggle so I continue to fight for this new lifestyle.

Glad to know I'm not the only one. I love my gym workouts, they make me feel good. Walking in the am jump starts my day and I have a more positive attitude toward everything all day. It makes no sense to me why I skip them.

Are you kidding me? You don't need to join a gym. You are working out doing the many activities at home. I have done the gym thing for many years and discovered that dedicating the time for me to do work out at home was best no gym member fees, no waiting for gym equipment, no work about sweaty stinky changing rooms not to mention the showers. You are active and it seem you are eating healthy just continue to make healthy choices and you will be on your way.

Just think of it this way, soon it will snow and you won't have to worry about outside projects like mowing. You seem to have a lot of irons in the fire. Add that to an mentally draining job, you're going to start letting some things slip. Maybe slow down a bit, only work on 5 projects at a time instead of 10 (I'm kidding!).

taking the time out to go to the gym does for some reason seem like it takes time away from us ,, but every time i go I feel ten feet tall and bullet proof its amazing how much energy we have to do the extra things <3 you did a lot of steps for sure and your doing a lot of projects that takes movement <3 but the more that I do the better I feel to <3 have a blessed day evening <3

Jeri, when the sunrise is early, it is fun to go to the gym before you go to work. When it is still dark when you drive to work, it is easy to not want to go work out.

I leave for work about 6:10... no way is it gym in the morning for me!! I'd have to be like dairyking. I like my quiet slow mornings. I really need the gym for strength training. Diagnosed osteoarthritis and knee and ankle injuries. Everything I've researched and what my Ortho doc and regular doc say to avoid problems do strength training 2-3 days a week forever. I can feel the difference I no longer have chronic pain. Skipping workouts is not good for me. If I'm doing heavy lifting etc. That I consider strength training, the rest no.

Instantcrazy, I do start too many things, oh well I never get bored!!!! Stairway walls are painted, next step is building the trim work, it sure looks better even unfinished than how it started out. Garage not started too damp and has felt like rain all day. I need to haul stuff outside to get it clean. Soup is yummy, bread is done, no corn bread (didn't feel like going to the store, no corn meal) wheat kernels cooked and some spicy cranberry beans. Kale cleaned and chopped for am smoothies and to add to soup for lunches. Will change up the soup with added veggies during the week, maybe add some grains. Some other little everyday chores done.

Funny how we remember those days by the minute when our children are born. On hers the doc who filled in ticked me off, he was partially retired and was mad at me that I refused drugs. He was mean.

Well, one thing is for sure, if you don't plan for it, it doesn't get done. If you say, I'll do this or that when I have the time, guess what? You never do. So, it's a matter of priorities. Plan to do what's most important to you in the time allotted. We're only given 24 hours in a day and that's not going to change, so we have to. If you have to give up other less important things in order to do what's most important, well, duh.

Just do it!!!! now grandkids games sometimes do get in the way, grins, my grandkids always are priority.'... they are awesome!!!!
